JUDGMENT *

Judgment

O kings of the earth-- behold the sky
That pours out plagues and woe:
Your weight in balance, wanting--
Your foolish pride brought low.

For Emmanuel comes-- our Saviour
Jesus Christ the King shall return to claim
The peculiar ones, the faithful--
Who suffer for his name.

Thunders portend the demise of treachery--
And proclaim the glorious Son;
God rends the rim of heaven--
His righteous judgement comes.

The tempest forms to purge the world
Of lies and bitter sin;
And all the saints who watch and pray
Abide safe beneath God's wing.

But the wicked rage to see the terrible skies
Knowing God soon will crush Lucifer's phoney throne--
Every luminous deception,
Each evil scheme-- undone!

O tremble at the word of our God,
Who revenges every wrong;
And he strengthens all who watch and pray,
And comforts his saints in song.

A small moment more, of darkness
'Til he rides in on billowed clouds;
Fear not the shattering of this world
Nor the shred of fleshly shrouds--

But steady your eyes on Jesus,
For he will ne'er forsake:
Your treasure is kept in Heaven
And your mansion death can't take.

For the faithful, this is promised;
Truth and righteousness will prevail.
Do not falter, do not faint--
What Abba promised cannot fail.
